PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES
We are looking for a Junior Digital Signal Processing Engineer who is passionate about integrated audio/video signal processing devices to join a team of talented multi-discipline engineers. The DSP Engineer I will be a critical part of the team to design and build the next generation of smart protection products for extremely rugged markets. This role will give you the opportunity to work on creating new capabilities by converging a number of innovative new technologies. You will be joining a global fast passed team working within a number of a strategic partner to bring the next-generation of smart equipment to market.
The role requires the ability to design and conduct test procedures to extract reliable data, process this data into a usable format and generate ideas and incites about how to improve our products.
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to broadly apply principles, theories, concepts and techniques of the digital signal processing engineering discipline.
Design and Conduct detailed signal testing on concepts, prototypes and products.
Creating MATLAB/Python application to process theoretical and real world data to develop improvements concepts, prototypes and products.
Design automatic test stations to increases the speed of testing and aid with software validation
Process test results to find incites, bugs and improvement actions.
Present findings in both written reports and presentations.
Design basic filters inside FPGAs and Micro Processors
Collaborate with team to define tasks.
Assist in the creation of working prototypes for early product evaluation.
Participate in peer code reviews (when required).
Support project managers with inputs to Agile/Kanban boards.
Review and update technical documents.
Perform production support activities as needed.
Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements
University degree in Electronic Engineering or Mathematics with a focus on DSP Applications
0+ years relevant work experience.
Knowledge of Audio, Video and/or Physiological Monitoring filtering and algorithm/filter design
Experience with signal testing and analysis
Knowledge of Python (SciPy) for test applications.
Knowledge of analogue filter design for Audio applications
Ability to work supervised on assigned scope.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in English (written and oral).
