LOCATION - Reporting to the Engineering Department Tenant Construction Manager, 2 Montgomery, Jersey City, NJ, but physically working daily in various Resident Engineer’s Offices located at NY/NJ Marine Terminals, EWR/TEB, LGA/SWF, JFK, TB&T/PATH.
SCOPE - The PA’s Tenant Construction and Alteration Process (also known as TCAP), encompasses all alterations and minor works at existing PA facilities in addition to all new construction, and is a necessary way of managing work performed in PA leaseholds and public facilities.
The Port Authority is looking for highly organized and highly motivated individuals, to work under the supervision of the Engineering Department Tenant Construction Manager. The individuals will be tasked with managing a portfolio of Tenant Construction Projects. The positions require interaction with Resident Engineers, Facility Tenant Construction Managers, Tenants, A/EORs, and Contractors.
4-year Engineering Degree
Demonstrated experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
Knowledge of Port Authority Tenant Construction Alteration Process (TCAP)
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated experience reading construction drawings and inspecting in-progress construction in accordance with approved drawings
Knowledge of Special Inspection Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Ability to obtain SIDA, SWAC or TWIC credentials as specified by the Facility
