As Customer Quality Engineer, you will;
Review quality part of customer contracts: assess customer-specific quality requirements on products, processes, and service (typically PPM targets, complaint processing times, FAI requirements, Q-Certification requirements).
Negotiate (where needed) with the customer.
Create awareness and better knowledge of Customer requirements, applications and business routine within the TE organization (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply chain) by providing training, support and organize regular reviews with involved TE plants.
Periodic evaluation of TE customer quality performance: focus on a number of customer complaints, PPM level, complaint response times, quality of 8D reports.
Prepare for and participate in regular customer scorecard reviews. This may include developing or contributing to a TE response.
Regular visits on customer plants to build, reinforce and maintain the strong partnership, and to exchange on key quality topics.
Create and maintain Customer Specific Quality Improvement plans with a focus on systematic, interactional and high-level issues.
Share and implement best practices within the ADM organization to exceed customer expectations.
Prepare customer audits by supporting the local organization regarding customer quality requirements and expectations.
When necessary (e.g. on escalated quality issues) meet with customers at the manufacturing location to facilitate the audit.
Share the outcome of customer audits in order to prepare all locations for successful coming future audits and roll out requested improvements in all ADM locations.
Monitor quality investigations and step in to facilitate if escalated by the customer. Provide customer expectations and application details for the complaint investigation when needed.
Stimulate/support the usage of problem-solving tools and preventative Quality tools (e.g. 5Why, FMEA, Pareto-chart, Cause-and-Effect diagram, Six sigma, etc.).
Do an assessment to verify the quality of the 8D reports to identify problematic locations, provide feedback to the local quality management to drive improvement and to help prevent repeated quality issues and high-level escalations from the customer side.
