Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical/Industrial Systems/Manufacturing)
This person will need to be able to identify opportunities and know how to develop and implement solutions. Therefore, this person must be highly organized and know how to prioritize their own workload. This position is hands-on and requires the desire and ability to spend time on a shop floor that is not air-conditioned.
We are looking for a candidate:
With 5+ years of manufacturing engineering related experience, values safety above all else, and can handle support and input from multiple sources.
With the ability to prioritize, schedule, and logistically support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
That will collaborate with the existing team to facilitate maintenance and operational efforts.
The Manufacturing Engineer Will:
Monitor plant equipment for operation per the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Identify, develop and then implement solutions to improve machine performance, reliability and or function. Includes making recommendations for machine upgrades.
Improve OSHA safety scores and overall equipment safety through project delivery.
Work with operations and maintenance to develop an equipment problem reporting system that identifies operation problems and ensures the problems are solved.
Assist operations in understanding where there are productivity opportunities that will improve plant performance in safety, quality, and productivity.
Assist maintenance in troubleshooting, debugging, and repairing recurring problems.
Collect and analyze data as necessary to justify recommended projects.
Coordinate technician visits related to solving equipment issues.
Forecast required spare parts and facilitate their acquisition through the spare parts department.
Engineering degree (Bachelor’s).
Has minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
Has basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building systems, utilities, and repair procedures relating to facilities.
Has experience reviewing specifications and developing mechanical or electrical layouts.
Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, specifically 29CFR 1910 Occupational Safety and Health Standards is essential.
Has proven organizational and project management skills, along with effective communication skills.
Strong desire to work in a TEAM environment with support and input from multiple sources.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
Good computing and software skills including AutoCAD/Inventor & Microsoft Office.
Experience working with hourly & salaried employees in an industrial environment.
Self-starter and a proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
Knowledge of CMMS systems.
Ability to communicate in Spanish.
