Provides leadership, technical direction, and coordination in the planning and implementation of assigned plant or mine improvement projects. Summary of Responsibilities: Coordinates the development of short and long-range plans to accomplish individual projects. Interfaces with all departments to coordinate projects and prioritize work. Coordinates and motivates personnel to safely meet established plans, budgets, timetables and targets of performance for each project.
Determining specific project equipment needs, selecting and purchasing new equipment, and coordinating the training of employees on new equipment operation. Audits project performance to ensure completed projects align with project engineering plans. Tracks individual project progress, costs, and reports versus plan. Provides progress reports to internal and external customers at a weekly and/or monthly frequency.
Implements work procedures and systems and ensures compliance to company policies in all aspects of assigned projects. Promote and encourage teamwork with operations and maintenance personnel. Coordinate and participate in safety and loss control programs as relate to the projects undertaken. Completes work order and purchase requisitions within the plant computerized maintenance management system.
Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering or technical field, or the equivalent work experience. Three+ years supervisory/managerial industrial experiences.
Required to work extra hours including nights and/or weekends during major/minor plant outages. Travel requirements 5% Time Management /Organizational Skills – Views time as a resource. Possesses ability to organize and see things through to completion. Computer Skills – Moderate-level of computer aptitude.
Experienced with computers and computer applications, including Microsoft software and Windows Operating Systems. MS Excel moderate to advanced level aptitude. Preferred Qualifications: Previous management of and completion of medium to large industrial maintenance projects. Infrastructure restoration project specific experiences.
