Basic Position Function:
Facilitates movement of projects through iMARK from quotation to validation or production approval. Responsible for supporting and utilizing iMARK’s Program Management Requirements, Project Management Checklists and iMARK’s PD-Process Development to build, develop and approve injection molds and associated automation. Responsible for achieving project budgets and timelines while managing tool shops and with other outside suppliers involved with projects. Supports tooling, molding, quality and secondary operations departments for new and released projects.
Education: (Required and Desired)
Two-year engineering (or related field) degree is required. Four-year engineering (or related field) degree is desired.
Experience: (Required and Desired)
Two years in project management is required. Two or more years in project management in injection molding field and experience in an ISO 9001: ISO 13485 environment is desired.
Knowledge / Skills:
Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for communication with outside customers and internal employees. Must possess a good working knowledge of PC’s and software including email, word processing, spreadsheets and PDF documents. Experience in a 3D CAD package, particularly Solidworks, is strongly preferred. Experience in IQMS and its functions is a strong plus. Basic understanding of the design and construction of injection molds, injection molding process, molding machines, and secondary operations is also a strong plus. Secondary operations may include, but is not limited to, pad printing, sonic welding and assembly. Basic understanding of measurement and inspection procedures and tools also required. This position requires the employee to frequently sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to ten pounds, and must occasionally lift and / or move up to twenty-five pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, the ability to adjust focus and color vision. Evaluates and quotes new projects presented for suitability to iMARK’s capabilities and strategies. Provides design for manufacturability feedback as needed to bring new projects into iMARK’s standards.
Facilitates communications between external customers, iMARK team members, and vendors to ensure customer expectations and requirements are achieved while maintaining iMARK standards and practices.
Manages vendors and procurement of injection molds and associated equipment to meet customer and iMARK requirements and standards. Integrate technology such as RJG process monitoring whenever feasible in order to improve production outcomes.
Develops, maintains, and communicates project plans and timelines to meet customer expectations and iMARK requirements. Responsible for ensuring quality, timely delivery while maintaining budget.
Leads cross-functional teams from project kickoff, through process development, validation, and through production release according to iMARK’s project management process. Ensures all safety, quality and budgetary goals are achieved before completing transition to production while maintaining customer satisfaction and iMARK profitability.
Identifies and communicates changes to scope, schedule, and budget to ensure alignment between iMARK and customers.
Adheres to all safety procedures.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Keeps work area clean of debris.
