The Presales Engineer is a key part of STANLEY Healthcare success as this individual will impact STANLEY Healthcare sales, product development, marketing, training, solution delivery and more. Presales Engineers support regional revenue generating activities and are product and application experts for STANLEY Healthcare’s Senior Living solutions. Presales Engineers apply this product and domain situational fluency and expertise to support all presales activities including but not limited to; evaluating Customer needs and applying STANLEY Healthcare solutions to resolve or improve outcomes, diagnosing Customer concerns, delivering presentations and demonstrations, responding to Customer technical issues and questions, contributing to RFI/RFP responses, and in general working with the sales organization to identify and close targeted opportunities. In addition, Presales Engineers are a key source of market research by identifying and documenting future product and application requirements.
Essential Job Functions
Provide presales support for STANLEY Sales, Partners and Customers. Answer questions about overall applications or particular modules, drawing on subject matter experts as needed.
Develop solution designs focused on meeting Customer needs while protecting the Customer’s and STANLEY’s’ interests with deliverable solutions.
Support customer sales meetings (local and remote).
Support customer demonstrations, trade show and other marketing events.
Establish credibility with the Customer and position oneself as their trusted advocate.
Lead technical efforts for regional RFI/RFP responses.
Act as conduit between sales, Customer and STANLEY Healthcare product development, and implementation, training, and support groups.
Create supporting solution design documentation (drawings, BOMs, solution design summaries)
Support Sales with opportunity/technical strategy.
Provide feedback based on input from customers and partners to development staff for requested product enhancements and future modifications.

Education / Requisite Skills:
BA, BS, BSc, AA or AS degree in electronics or technology, or equivalent
3 to 5 years presales experience preferred
3 to 5 years enterprise technology experience preferred
Healthcare experience preferred (long term care)
Knowledge of access control and/or security systems preferred
Knowledge of Wi-Fi, network and general RF principles preferred
Customer facing skills (public speaking, writing communication, product demonstration face-to-face and remote)
Technical writing and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio) experience preferred
Travel (must have valid driver’s license and passport)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Required to stand and walk for extended periods of time during tradeshows
May be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time across a Customer campus
May be required to climb/stand on ladders for a period of time
Required to have close visual perception to perform activities such as: viewing computer monitors, preparing and analyzing data and figures, extensive reading, visual inspections involving detailed drawings.
