As a Process Engineer, your essential job functions will include the following,
Support the Execution of the Supply Chain Solutions Project Portfolio
Apply project management skills, with limited guidance, to prioritize projects, budgets & timelines. Projects include warehouse moves, resets/openings as well as continuous improvement and technology investigation to reduce operational costs.
Develop and evaluate new processes and improve current process capability, efficiency and overall productivity in all areas of the Supply Chain department.
Collaborate with Sales, Program Management and other Supply Chain departments to support and improve operational processes/programs affecting daily performance of the Dealer Tire Supply Chain.
Use AutoCAD to develop warehouse layouts that optimize utilization, increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe working environment.
Use JDE and WMS systems to identify and implement solutions to improve warehouse systems, DC layouts and customer delivery.
Develop, analyze and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support all warehouse and logistics processes.
Investigate and analyze operational system issues, determine root cause and implement solutions for full resolution.
Utilize LEAN concepts & 6S to drive operational process efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum of four (4) years of Supply Chain or Manufacturing experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
Industrial or Mechanical engineering degree preferred.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills required.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Microsoft Office products required.
Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
JDE and WMS experience preferred.
Knowledgeable in process mapping and value stream mapping preferred.
Experience developing engineered labor standards preferred.
Experience with Six Sigma, 6S and LEAN preferred.
