Academic and commercial teams around the world are using Programming Protocol-independent Packet Processors (P4) as a language to express how packets are processed by the data plane of a forwarding element such as a hardware or software switch, network interface card, router, or network appliance. NVIDIA is seeking Networking Verification Software Engineers!
In this role you will be a key verification member of our DPU Project Team. Data Processing Unit’s (DPU’s) are the new class of programmable processor’s igniting unprecedented innovation for modern data centers by offloading and accelerating networking, storage, compute and security services. What will you be doing:
Author and review test plans, implement test cases, automate tests, integrate tests into test management to verify NVIDIA’s P4 compiler complies with requirements and industry standards.
Design, develop and automate testing methodologies and test frameworks.
Maximize existing and industry standard tests to improve compiler quality.
Triage problems to identify and isolate issues and report bugs.
Monitor, report and publish test results on a regular basis.
What we need to see:
BS in engineering related degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of hands on experience in a production software development or test organization.
Strong Python scripting experience.
Work experience with networking products.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to implement robust automation solutions.
Able to collaborate well with others in an energizing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Be disciplined, learn quickly, and have strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Knowledge of networking protocols at packet or cell level.
Background in working with open source P4 compiler code base and community
Background with automating tests
Experience programming in C/C++
Knowledge of Linux networking stack and hardware packet processing pipelines
Knowledge/Experience with PyTest
Experience using containers (dockers) and source management tools
