Job Description

We’re expanding capabilities for a major telecom company by building an API layer that enables third-party retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, and Apple to activate devices directly in-store. Our delivery team is well-versed in agile methodology, driving the very best practices in the industry. Providing high-value development with a focus on meeting and exceeding the client’s objectives, this project emphasizes stakeholder communication to effectively translate the mission into a technical solution.

As a Lead Java Developer on this project, you’ll spearhead the design, development, and delivery of scalable software products in a fast-paced environment. The team will look to you for best practices to be applied during development, and you’ll have the opportunity to maintain a hands-on role throughout the coding process. As a trusted advisor, you’ll influence all aspects of project planning and execution. You’ll collaborate closely with your team as a reflection of Logic20/20’s “Culture of We,” welcoming and celebrating new opinions and perspectives on problem-solving and innovation.

About the team

The Logic20/20 Digital Transformation team applies design thinking and next-gen technologies to solve our clients’ toughest business challenges. You’ll work side-by-side with architects, managers, and engineering consultants to gain a 360-degree perspective of the challenge at hand while contributing your unique perspective to develop innovative solutions.

About you

You’ve developed rich, intuitive, consumer-facing products and/or highly integrated Java enterprise applications
You’re a pro at recognizing and applying best practices, methodologies, tools, and techniques
You’ve built applications that provide measurable business value, working in an agile environment on rapid prototyping of products
You can provide guidance on application design and architecture, integration design, and the enforcement of technical standards

Qualifications

7+ years of software development experience in a production environment, including API development experience
2+ years as a technical lead
Strong technical background coding in Java 8
Experience designing and developing Java microservices in Spring Boot or Spring Cloud, and working with microservices architectures (RESTful API and GraphQL)
3+ years of experience with AWS, especially with technologies such as S3 and DynamoDB
Working knowledge of Swagger
Experience with RESTful, Query, and hybrid APIs using OAuth 2.0
Deep understanding of and experience with Java API integration technologies
Bachelor’s degree in computer science

Ideal, but not required

Telecom industry experience
Production experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
Experience with test automation
