Starfire Industries has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer for continued development and advancement of our industry-leading nGen® neutron generators.
Take an active role in the design, integration and test process of the neutron generator system
Integration of the sub-systems e.g., power electronics, RF/microwave electronics, control system, high voltage, vacuum, compressed gasses, liquids, etc.
Testing and debugging of the neutron generator system for product evaluation and R&D purposes
Collection and analysis of data for the purpose of reporting and continuous improvement
Assist in inventory tracking, process/test documentation, BOM documentation, and purchasing as needed
Strong initiative to work independently and guide system development in collaboration with research team and management, while working with sub-system specialists
Plan and participate in system field testing and customer demonstrations
Relevant degree: (Electrical Engineering,)
B.S. with 3+ years’ experience minimum in related field
M.S. will be considered
Ability to take iniative and work independently
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Applicant must be eligible to obtain certain U.S. Government clearances which may require applicant to be a U.S. Person, have U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence status in the U.S.
Relevant degree can include Plasma Engineering and/or Cross disciplinary degree
Solidworks / CAD, read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Familiarity with RF / microwave electronics theory or application
