Ardurra seeks a Water/Wastewater Entry-Level Engineer (EIT) to join our team in Metairie, LA.
The candidate for this position will be expected to plan, design, and perform calculations for various projects types consisting of municipal, commercial, residential and industrial. The candidate must also be able to interact with clients, perform inspections, attend meetings, and develop plans, specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
Work closely with Project Engineers to develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for various municipal projects
Perform calculations for designs, perform research, and utilize spreadsheets in formulating possible results based on different scenarios
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager or Project Lead
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college
Licensed EIT in the state of Louisiana preferred
Knowledge, experience, and ability to perform computer tasks with AutoCAD, or Civil 3D software
Knowledge, experience and ability to perform H&H modeling a plus
Candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our culture is a must
Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Project, etc…)
