WSP is currently initiating a search for a Solar Design Engineer for our Larenceville, NJ office. Duties and Responsibilities: - Develop construction documents for electrical designs on wind, solar, and energy storage projects - Develop drawings in AutoCAD, Helios 3D, and other software as needed - Develop solar site lauouts, general arrangements, details plan and profile view documents with limited input from Engineers - Manage CAD drawings using Project Wise and SharePoint solutions - Work with GIS sofware, GIS and surveying files to incorporate into solar design drawings - Work in close coordination with Civil Engineers and Electrical Engineers to coordinate designs and development - Provide QA/QC on work performed by other drafters and designers Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Minimum of 5 years experience at engineering firms performing similar functions
expert user of AutoCAD Civil 3D or Electrical
excellent communication skills
willingness to work in a team environment and collaborate with peers and others
proficient in Microsoft Office products including excel, word, outlook
AutoCAD certified professional
Bachelors degree in engineering or similar technical field
Prior experience with solar and wind energy design projects
