With 12 300 employees in 56 countries, the Gypsum and Ceilings Activity extracts and processes gypsum into a wide array of plaster products for construction and decoration meeting growing customer demand for a comfortable and visually pleasing home environment, and also the ease to install.
Context: In North America plasterboard manufacturing, edge formation defects are a predominant loss factor involving complex interactions between equipment, equipment settings, slurry properties.
Missions: In order to analyze edge formation issues, to understand their causes and propose corrective actions, the VIE will have to :
Analyze existing information from Focused Improvement projects performed in various CertainTeed Gypsum plants (USA , Canada)
Implement a data base linking equipment parameters, production parameters, inspection systems and defect occurrence
Develop full use of the newly installed inspection system (Keyence)
Design, conduct and analyze statically significant experiments that lead to robust phenomena understanding and optimize products and processes
This position is located in Las Vegas for a 18 months duration.
We are looking for someone with:
an Engineering Degree
1-2 experience in a similar position
the ability to read,write and speak in English
