An Engineer or Designer has a solid grasp of engineering principles and code knowledge, and they are comfortable with working independently on projects with occasional guidance from project manager. Projects will consist mainly of multi-family housing developments, hotels & conventions centers, and churches & schools. The work will include new construction projects as well as renovation of existing buildings. A strong background in wood, masonry, steel, and concrete design is required.
An Engineer or Designer will be charged with directing and reviewing the work of junior staff and drafting technicians. Candidates must be capable of balancing multiple design projects at the same time. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
Primarily, time is spent in the office providing engineering. Occasionally, this individual will go to jobsites to review existing conditions and attend project meetings.
Software experience shall include Autodesk REVIT, Microsoft Excel, and the suite of RISA design software.
