WE power pharmacies to help people lead healthy lives. We are a nimble company who makes cool robots. We're a strong team of driven problem solvers who take our roles seriously but also laugh - a lot. There are some big projects in the works and many more we can't wait to tackle. We celebrate moving things from the "To-Do" to the "Ta-Done" column.
YOU are a technically savvy field service engineer who delivers an unforgettably positive customer experience. You are dedicated and loyal. You dig being the go-to person customers count on to get their equipment back up and running. Installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining robotics and automation products - both hardware and software - sounds like a dream job to you. And last but not least, you geek out over the seemingly small - but critical - details. Not because you're a slave to the process, but because you have a sense of ownership and pride to find out what's not working and make it right.
One more thing: change is inevitable and it happens often in our world. A flexible perspective and willingness to do what's needed to get the job done is how we roll. If this last part didn't deflate your interest or cause you to cringe, then you should keep reading!
You'll see a job description a little further down, but here's the thing: we aren't old-school. We want you to be a great fit because our company culture is very important to us. So we're gonna ask you to think about how important it is to YOU. Don't waste time on a cover letter or stress about the format of your resume. Just relax and let us know a little about you by answering four simple application questions.
How do you fit the job?
How do you fit the company?
What do you bring to the field service team?
What's your superpower?
If you don't answer the questions... well, use your troubleshooting logic to predict the outcome of this exercise. Seriously, though, your answers to those four questions will be used to make our first picks for interviews. We'll give your answers the careful consideration they and you deserve. Go on, give it a go.
Oh. There's one more important detail...we expect this job to be heavy with installation and customer-training activity for up to six months. That means you must be comfortable with frequent travel, overnight stays, and real long workdays - all at our expense, of course! Your traditional field service work will begin later this year.
And now HERE is the part you were expecting to see...
Field Support Engineer
Flex your technical skills as a Parata FSE. If you like to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain robotics and automation products - both hardware and software - check us out.
You'll be dispatched from your home to our customer sites to take care of pharmacy automation and systems. Your customers are independent and chain pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, and long-term care facilities.
Reactive dispatches and preventive maintenance visits will keep you busy. Sometimes, we'll ask you to install a product at a new customer site and stick around to train their staff.
If you like variety in your work and thrive on independence, then what are you waiting for? Parata is the place for you!
Prior hands-on experience with automation or robotics won't guarantee you success, but it sure will make the job easier to learn. A degree in robotics or in an electrical or mechanical field is a plus.
Three to five years of field service experience is preferred. But don't worry if you have less or if you have more. Just have some! Previous electro-mechanical experience plus solid networking and computer skills are a must, though.
Please be proficient with Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 2000, XP, and 7, and able to use DOS and CMD prompt commands. You gotta be able to locate and edit configuration and XML files.
Networking certs aren't required; just be able to set up routers and switches and know about TCP/IP. Understand how to ghost and reimage PCs.
Parata's FSEs have a reputation for delivering an unforgettable customer experience. They are passionate about the company, dedicated to their customers, and fiercely loyal to their coworkers.
The job requires overtime, overnight stays, and some really long days. You better like to drive! We'll equip you with a smartphone, convertible laptop, and a company credit card. An all-wheel drive Chevy Equinox will be parked in your driveway.
Cool people. Slick products. Awesome company. But don't take our word for it. Come find out for yourself. Take the next step.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States on a permanent basis. If hired, you must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record. This is not an IT support or helpdesk job. Prior hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair is required. Knowledge of PCs and familiarity with basic networking is a must.
Parata is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard for race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin or citizenship status, age, disability, genetic information or veteran's status.
