YOU are a technically savvy field service engineer who delivers an unforgettably positive customer experience. You are dedicated and loyal. Installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining robotics and automation products - both hardware and software - sounds like a dream job to you. Oh. There's one more important detail...we expect this job to be heavy with installation and customer-training activity for up to six months. That means you must be comfortable with frequent travel, overnight stays, and real long workdays - all at our expense, of course! Your traditional field service work will begin later this year.

Field Support Engineer
Flex your technical skills as a Parata FSE. If you like to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain robotics and automation products - both hardware and software - check us out.
You'll be dispatched from your home to our customer sites to take care of pharmacy automation and systems. Your customers are independent and chain pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, and long-term care facilities.
Reactive dispatches and preventive maintenance visits will keep you busy. Sometimes, we'll ask you to install a product at a new customer site and stick around to train their staff.

Prior hands-on experience with automation or robotics won't guarantee you success, but it sure will make the job easier to learn. A degree in robotics or in an electrical or mechanical field is a plus.
Three to five years of field service experience is preferred. But don't worry if you have less or if you have more. Just have some! Previous electro-mechanical experience plus solid networking and computer skills are a must, though.
Please be proficient with Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 2000, XP, and 7, and able to use DOS and CMD prompt commands. You gotta be able to locate and edit configuration and XML files.
Networking certs aren't required; just be able to set up routers and switches and know about TCP/IP. Understand how to ghost and reimage PCs.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States on a permanent basis. If hired, you must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record. This is not an IT support or helpdesk job. Prior hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair is required. Knowledge of PCs and familiarity with basic networking is a must.
