What you will do
Work in a testing laboratory environment evaluating commercial ducted HVAC systems
Review incoming test requests and actively participates in developing test plans.
Engage with lab customers to identify and lead improvement projects.
Work with product design engineers to develop test fixtures and ad hoc tests
Document and optimize test methods
Improve overall data integrity by measurement system evaluations and uncertainty budgets
Adopt and implement technical details from industry/agency standards and revisions for accurate product testing and certification
How you will do it
Participate in the cross functional teams to improve laboratory testing processes and plans.
Work with both local and remote engineering teams.
Provide technical direction and guidance to drafters, model makers, technicians, and/or programmers to ensure timely implementation of product or process improvements.
Maintains a current knowledge of all factors and conditions, which may affect engineering work.
Performs accurate analysis of product performance, making appropriate recommendations as needed improve product reliability.
What we look for
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Self-motivated with a determination to exceed project objectives.
Working knowledge of a Solid Modeling Software package (CAD).
Ability to work in laboratory, manufacturing, and office environments.
Ability to organize tasks and manage projects.
Strong interpersonal skills; effective and professional communication.
Proficiency using the Microsoft Windows operating system in conjunction with the following Microsoft Office modules: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Working knowledge of Pro Engineer Creo solid modeling software.
Working knowledge of SAP BOM software.
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience in the HVAC field service environment.
Familiar with residential split and/or packaged equipment including air handlers, indoor coils, condensing units, gas furnaces, heat pumps, and their associated components.
Familiar with commercial rooftop HVAC units.
Experience in HVAC regulations and standards.
