As part of Manufacturing, you'll use your skills, our systems and a wide array of raw materials to help create the delicious finished products our consumers love. This position is responsible for guiding efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, controls, and utility systems at the Portland Bakery. Your role is to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. The primary role includes loss elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management.
Partnering with Maintenance Planning, Stockroom and the Hourly Maintenance Reliability Team to improve equipment reliability and eliminate losses.
Responsible for the Asset Maintenance plan that includes:
Value-added preventive maintenance tasks.
Time-base maintenance plans.
Effective utilization of predictive and other methodologies designed to improve reliability and eliminate losses.
Manage small maintenance reliability projects.
Provide engineering support to the maintenance department
Develops solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations using tools such as:
Statistical process control.
Six Sigma (6σ) methodologies.
Root cause analysis (RCA).
Provides technical support to the production teams as needed.
Works with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans for new installations.
Assist with maintenance supervision as necessary.
Bachelor's Degree Engineering with a preference in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years' experience in maintenance and reliability, production management, engineering or operations experience.
Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal departments (production, engineering, accounting), contractors, and vendors.
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and aptitude.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and the tools associated with failure detection
As a plus - experience in Operational Excellence, applying lean, six sigma and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) strategies
