Engineering Project Manager, Control Systems

Our client is a company that mines, and processes minerals used in the production of glass, detergents, chemical manufacturing, pulp and paper production, and water treatment. It also produces other chemical compounds used in common industrial, agricultural, and household applications. Their main operations are in Green River, Wyoming.

They are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Engineering Project Manager with experience managing control systems projects and can achieve major KPI goals. He/she will have strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to managing and executing projects. This position works cross-functionally so we need a relationship builder/team player guru. A relocation package is included.

Primary Responsibilities :
Management and coordination of controls systems projects
Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan, and integrated project schedule
Project team management and development of team members (i/e/ maintenance, operations, safety)
Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution
Integration of project with power steering system to manage and forecast project costs
Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements, plant engineering standards, and equipment standards
Compliance with process safety, ergonomics, MSHA, ISO 9000, environmental agencies, applicable codes and regulatory agencies
Ensure projects comply with Corporate Operating Standards (COS)
Departmental record keeping and databases
Support SAP project system

Required Skills and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited 4-year college or university
5+ years of engineering project management, overseeing multiple projects with annual cumulative budgets of several million dollars
5+ years of control systems engineering
Project diversity including but not limited to hoists, load shed systems, and power management systems
Advanced MS office skills
Advanced MS Project skills

Preferred Skills and Experience :
Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications
SAP experience strongly preferred
Access data base experience preferred
