Green Mountain Power is seeking a dynamic technology professional with excellent customer service and technical skills to join our OT Networking Team. In this role you will collaborate with a variety of engineers and technicians to conceive, architect, and manage a statewide network of communications services, networking hardware, fiber optics, circuits, premise wiring, and system management applications that support our growing operations and distributed generation infrastructures.
Prior experience working securely in a utility environment and a basic understanding of power distribution and generation systems is helpful, as is a strong familiarity with fiber network designs, SONET, MPLS, Multiplexing, VLANs, and fundamental TCP/IP and switching and routing technologies and protocols. Previous experience with JungleMux, XTRAN, RuggedCom, or similar network devices is a plus, as is the ability to estimate, design, support, and direct the installation, splicing, and allocation of fiber-based resources. Basic office application skills are necessary. The ability to work with CAD applications and interpret electrical, network, and cabling drawings is preferred.
A strong passion and personal desire to grow and work in a highly innovative, fast paced, technical environment is key. Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with the ability to present information in a user-friendly fashion are essential.

This position can be based at either our Rutland or Colchester, Vermont locations, with occasional travel to other company sites around the state as required.
