Digital Management, LLC (DMI) is seeking a full time Linux Administrator to support its defense customer in Montgomery, AL.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Install and set up Linux systems and servers, often for organization-wide deployment.
Develop servers and work with individual users to ensure that the system works reliably and quickly and answer questions related to setup and installation
Set up the architecture of the system, including back-end databases and scripts for specific applications and use cases.
Perform routine system maintenance and resolve server-side issues as they arise.
Review error logs and reported errors and seek out solutions.
Work directly with the system’s source code to make necessary changes to ensure reliable performance and then deploy those changes throughout the system.
Monitor system performance to prevent slowdowns and crashes.
Examine daily traffic logs and reports or receive direct reports from end users.
Develop and deploy solutions so that the system remains usable for all personnel.
Provide technical support and guidance to users and other administrators.
Works closely with other developers to answer technical questions or resolve issues with server-side performance.
Support users by assisting with installation and maintenance of Linux-based programs and help debug these applications so that they work with existing servers.
Maintain system security by actively identifying faults and vulnerable areas within the system’s architecture. This part of the job requires extensive knowledge of viruses and other sources of system vulnerability, and requires the Linux administrator to proactively develop protections, particularly when deploying system-wide changes that can open up new vulnerabilities.

Education and Years of Experience:
BS Degree in Computer Science or technically equivalent with 1 to 2 plus years of experience.

Required Skills/Certifications:
Linux administration experience
Extensive knowledge of viruses and other sources of system vulnerability
Experience developing protections, particularly when deploying system-wide changes that can open up new vulnerabilities
Security+ DODI 8750 IAT Level I
Minimum Secret clearance with ability to acquire Top Secret or SSBI

Desired Skills/Certifications:
3+ years of Splunk Enterprise administration, configuration, and support experience.
3+ Netcool Omnibus 8.1, Netcool Impact 7.1
3+ IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3
Experience in analyzing general system processing throughput, utilization, and capacity.
Splunk Enterprise Security administration experience.
Experience with programming and scripting using Python and/or bash.
Min. Citizenship Status Required : US Citizen Only

Physical Requirement(s): Ability to lift 30 pounds and walk short to medium distances
