The Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineer will lead continuous improvement practices for the Wynright Conveyors Shop manufacturing process.
Develops, evaluates, improves, and documents manufacturing processes
Develops and implements process control procedures
Implements continuous improvement practices to the facilities and processes
Review manufacturing processes for areas of cost and time reductions, as well as quality improvements
Works with configuration control and design engineering on product tooling and design
Consults with vendors about product specifications, arranging equipment, purchasing parts and material, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications
Working closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate and implement technical training for employees.
Designs and develops manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, new products and related fixtures and tooling consistent with zero defect level and low product cost
Documents tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts
Helps Production with troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field
Knowledge of manufacturing and continuous improvement (Lean) concepts
Ability to learn new technologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Team-oriented and collaborative
