ABS Digital Engineering is developing procedures, tools, and capabilities to provide simulation services to support enhanced safety, reliability, efficiency, and environmental compliance throughout the marine and offshore industries. Digital Engineering will model and simulate marine propulsion systems, power distribution systems, computer-based control systems, and other complex systems.

The successful candidate is expected to develop detailed system models and analyze them in a simulation environment. The candidate will be able to use modeling and simulation to evaluate a range of configurations and scenarios of complex systems.

Job Duties/Roles

Develop and analyze models using simulation software.
Test and maintain simulation databases.
Develop, maintain and deliver simulation procedures and training
Specify, evaluate, develop and test simulation software
Serve as a member of technical project teams.
Responsible for carrying out assigned duties to complete projects on schedule and within budget
Ensure the delivery of high-quality service and maintenance of good relations with customers and coworkers.
Stay actively informed concerning technical, business and management developments affecting ABS and its customers, and communicates this information promptly to management.
Actively promotes the services and capabilities of ABS throughout the technical and business community.

Minimum years of Experience

3 years of experience performing simulation engineer work (see below)

Required/Preferred Education Requirements

BS degree in engineering is required from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of three (3) years of related engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of one (1) year of related engineering experience, or Ph.D. from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of one (1) year of related experience. A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering is preferred.
