The RF Payload Center of Excellence (CoE) is seeking an expert in RF Electronics Packaging for terrestrial and space applications. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing advanced packaging techniques in support of R&D, commercial, classified, and military applications at the Lockheed Martin campus in Littleton, Colorado. You will research and develop highly advanced new applications resulting in new products/business opportunities and will oversee technical development across multiple efforts within the CoE portfolio. You will serve as a consultant to management in long-range planning concerning new or projected areas of technical research and advancements. You will be the prime external spokesperson for the company on highly significant matters relating to research, engineering matters, programs, and technical capabilities.

Your specific job duties include project leadership, proposal support, work package estimating, planning, development, design, review, mentoring, and procurement of electronics products including Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), RF Hybrids, and Enclosures. You will be accountable for project execution for electronics packaging tasks across a portfolio of customer areas. You will lead the creation of 3D solid models in CREO of space flight avionics and RF Hybrid electronics and perform trade studies on electronic packaging design approaches.

You will provide technical data for informal and formal Design Review documentation and presentations to executive staff and external customers. Provide consultation to and coordination of thermal, dynamic, stress, reliability, EMC, and survivability analyses to assure compliant designs. Support manufacturing and test to minimizing cycle time. Lead problem resolution and corrective action activities. Interface with Parts Engineering, Quality Assurance and Purchasing regarding material quality and vendor performance. Provide producible designs that meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements, working successfully in an Integrated Product Team environment.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree; or 9 years of professional experience with a related PhD or JD; or 4 years of professional experience with a MD. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.
Experienced electronics packaging engineer specializing in high reliability spaceflight electronics, specifically with regard to RF communication payloads and hermetic hybrid packages.
Knowledge of electronics packaging workflow, tools, processes, and electronic components
Experienced user of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Experienced in 3D solid modeling and drafting.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials related to PC board and box design and fabrication including the principles behind design for manufacture (DFM).

Desired Skills:
Project Management experience including; Earned Value, Basis of Estimate generation, Risk and Opportunity Management, Change Management, Planning)
Self-starter with previous experience in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, and lead groups of engineering personnel.
Experience working on the development of spaceflight receivers, amplifiers, High Voltage Electronics and Hybrid assemblies.
Knowledge of advanced packaging technologies including Surface Mount Technology (SMT), advanced materials and parts.
Experienced user of Pro-E/CREO and SAP/IRIS/PDM.
Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment
