Title: Plant Layout Simulations Engineer
Duration: Long Term Contract
Location: Toledo, OH
Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering
Completing SE/Product feasibility studies for critical Products /Assemblies which includes validation of PLP systems, Tool and Load Clearance, ISD (In system Damage), Securing/Fastening, Applying Manufacturing Standards and Ergonomics.
Completing Virtual Analysis of the vehicle Assembly Process for various vehicle platforms before the actual manufacturing activity at shop floor to identify product/resource Interferences, Cycle Time issues, Layout validation, what-if analysis, bottlenecks and opportunities for Assembly Line improvements.
Assembly and Human simulation for critical assembly stations. The Analysis of the simulation generate important results which help various teams like Process planner, Industrial Engineers, Ergonomist, Tooling and Material Handling in making imperative decisions to reduce Product development time and cost and faster response to the market.
Generating Ergonomic Analysis report for static and dynamic operator Postures/Motions which help the Ergo team to eliminate work related injuries to operator.
Creating Value Added and Non-Value Added report/Analysis for each manufacturing operation for the I.E team, Implementing the Principle of Lean manufacturing by suggesting methods of reducing process time and eliminating all wastes for adding more value added in the whole process.
Programming the model for Simulation, analyze simulation results and decide the efficient alternatives and solutions
Perform Quick Simulation for all vehicle stations using Classic Jack TSB Module which provides ergonomic reports and time estimated based on Standard Time table.
Creating and Managing Manufacturing Bill of Materials from simple structures to complex product definitions and ensuring accuracy and completeness for all stakeholders
Reducing or eliminating the need for Physical prototype and avoid significant errors during actual manufacturing by designing and validating the manufacturing Process, resource, plant layout.
Validating Kitting plan for Sub-assemblies to save manufacturing space and reduce work in process at the workstation, eliminating Non value added times.
Creating WPI (Work Place Integration) simulations for subassembly lines.
Applying Kinematics to Tooling data like Ergo Arms, Fixtures and creating and maintaining library of such tools.
Creating 3D parametric digital factory for Racks/Bins to be used for all plants.
Project Planning, Scope analysis, effort estimation and Progress tracking.
Implementation of Siemens Process Simulate on Teamcenter.
Creating enhancement request for Process Simulate Human and working closely with Siemens US to implement and test the enhancements.
Member of the US Car Project, representing client at the event and help the common projects by providing crucial Simulation experience inputs.
Process Simulate, Teamcenter, Delmia V5, Vismockup, Catia V5, Classic Jack. Visjack.
