ROLE SUMMARY:
This position offers a challenging and rewarding work environment. We provide the candidate with excellent training in an environment where you are always growing and developing your technical skills. We operate the Newark Brewery of the Anheuser-Busch Company. The Powerhouse runs 365 days a year. We have a state of the art process control system with 2 operators on each shift running the Plant. We also perform maintenance on our equipment which gives our team the opportunity to not only operate the equipment but also maintain it.
The position involves working 8 hour rotating shifts, including weekends & holidays.
We Operate al the Brewery Utilities systems including: High Pressure steam boilers, CO2 collection equipment, Industrial chillers, dehumidification systems, Air compressors and Plant water supply systems. We also monitor electrical distribution systems to the Plant.
We Perform boiler water and cooling tower water chemical testing.
We are responsible for process management, basic maintenance tasks, lubrication, and sanitation.
We utilize Microsoft Office tools (excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint)
We function in a lean manufacturing work environment using statistical tools to optimize processes.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Good mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends & holidays.
Strong Troubleshooting ability
Excellent Learning ability
Willing to join Operating Engineers Local 68.
Willingness to attend off-site classes in basic refrigeration, boiler operation and related mechanical training classes.
Willingness to prepare for and take NJ State boiler & refrigeration operator licensing exams.
Attention to detail
Basic PC skills ( Microsoft office suite)
