The Senior Process Engineer (Biogas) is responsible for leading and overseeing process engineering designs, supporting project development and following projects through all stages, from conceptual design through detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 7+ years of experience in gas processing
Experience: 5 plus years of Project Management experience related to design-build programs for gas processing facilities or 3 plus years working in projects related to biogas or RNG considered a plus
Possess a working knowledge of common gas processing equipment such as the following: pumps, chillers, pressure vessels, process piping, heat exchangers, compressors, modulated valves, instruments & process controls, etc.
Conduct or support mechanical design of gas upgrading equipment for pipeline quality specifications.
Leverage engineering and project management tools in the areas of PFD development, process control strategies, hazards analyses and P&ID development.
Lead feasibility studies, equipment sizing, material selection, site selection and full operational analyses.
Participate in Process Hazard Analysis and Process Safety Analysis as applicable.
Develop projects through the entire lifecycle (scope, schedule, budget, design reviews, construction support, startup).
Author & implement functional specifications, operating methods and procedures designed to minimize operating issues & maximize production of RNG.
Support project and business development activities, proposal creation, market analyses and strategic planning events as requested.
Contribute to the creation of technical manuals.
Provide operational training to all relevant personnel.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
