The Process Development Engineer will provide support for internal manufacturing processes in terms of process sustainment, process capability improvement, and product quality improvement. Responsible to optimize and standardize existing processes; assist in resolution of low yield rates and product quality issues; assist in development of new processing capabilities, and in continuous improvement activity. They will actively work cross functionally with internal groups including sales/support, production, and engineering groups. Use techniques including problem solving, continuous improvement, and project management, such as 6-Sigma and Stage-Gate. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and across multiple sites is a must.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor process performance & investigation and resolution of engineering-related process/product yield issues.
Create high value product for customers by reduced variability and improved product quality and precision.
Support Quality Engineer in the resolution of engineering-related customer issues/complaints.
Develop and maintain documentation including Procedures, Work Instructions, Engineering Specifications, and Product/Process Technical Data & Capability.
Develop new prototype systems and test/validate through to production launch, using Stage-Gate project management technique.
Participate in and/or lead lean CIP 6-Sigma projects.
Ability to travel globally.
Other duties and projects as assigned/defined.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
3+ years of process/manufacturing engineering experience
Computer literate with capability in SolidWorks CAD programs, MS Office, Statistics
Must be able to work with minimum supervision
Must be an analytic thinker, have systematic approach, open minded problem solver, and be motivated to manage projects in cross-functional teams
Electrical system knowledge and PLC programming skills are desirable but not required
Experience in managing projects, process development, FMEA, OCAP and mechanical design is a plus
Certification in Six Sigma DMAIC is a plus
