The Field Engineer requires skills necessary to install, operate and maintain complex modeling and simulation computer systems within a technical combat systems environment. The Field Engineer must have knowledge of computer system requirements, installations, operations, maintenance and specifications involving a wide range of operating environments and state of technology. Provide subject matter expertise to perform simulation systems equipment preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure a high level of availability of simulation systems for each supported facility.
Collaborate with the Government and other contractor personnel to coordinate maintenance and support activities in accordance with priorities and objectives for each supported facility.
Analyze, troubleshoot and correct problems encountered with simulation equipment including the repair and replacement of failed components as appropriate and required for each supported facility.
Provide technical assistance as requested in support of test or training events for each supported facility.
Maintain records of simulation equipment including; date of installation, configuration information, trouble reports, repair and maintenance activities for each simulation system within each supported facility.

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Education and years of experience required: High School diploma/GED and at least 4 years of related work experience to include 2 years general combat system experience and 4 years of specific combat systems technical experience. The Field Engineer requires the training, skill and experience necessary to perform installations, operations, maintenance and specifications involving complex systems with a wide range of operating environments and state of technology. The Field Engineer requires experience troubleshooting and isolation of hardware and software issues, and implementing simulation solutions.
Security clearance requirement: Active DoD security clearance (must maintain clearance)
Preferred Skills and Education
AEGIS Combat System experience as a US Navy ET.
Strong troubleshooting skills, understanding of computer components, knowledge of networking, and knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
Ability to use all Microsoft Office tools as well as have technical writing and editing abilities.
Experience using work logs (online or paper), updating logs, and monitoring work logs and work flow.
Willingness and ability to work in a team environment.
