ENSCO, Inc. is seeking an advanced technology Systems Engineer in support of the Department of Defense (DoD). The System Engineer will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes. The Research & Engineering Technical Support (RETS) contract provides high level scientific advice to the Office of Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD) for Research & Engineering (R&E). The mission of OUSD (R&E) as the Chief Technology Officer is to foster technological dominance across the DoD and ensure the advantage of the American warfighter.
Duties will include:
Analyze system requirements that define the technical baseline and verification of the technical baseline.
Work with Government and contractor personnel to close gaps in flow of customer requirements down thru the system and component levels.
Lead and support Government/Contractor Working Group meetings—by creating briefings, leading discussion, and writing minutes—to resolve risks, requirement gaps, and action items.
Review proposed changes to the technical baseline for impacts to enterprise capabilities and to cross-stakeholder integration concerns.
Facilitate review of program documents by providing comments, compiling other reviewer comments, and working with contractor to adjudicate the comments.
Serve as a subject matter expert to assess technical issues and to prepare briefings.
Support management of risks, issues, interdependencies, identifying schedule disconnects and conflicts, developing action plans for resolution, and assisting the Government in executing selected solutions.

Qualifications Required (Skills)
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent and minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge and background with Mission architecture, systems and subsystem requirements, systems engineering processes, and development of CONOPS.·
Technical skills to understand and analyze system problems, define potential solutions, and conduct in-depth technical analysis, assessments and trades and explain results of technical studies in a systems engineering context.
Demonstrates understanding of performance and requirements analysis techniques, and acceptance testing strategies/methodologies.
