Summary:The Manufacturing Engineer supports the development of processes and applications for customer project and internal development initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan and execute new porous coating projects for transfer to production operations.
Plan and execute new manufacturing process projects for transfer to production operations.
Provide technical support to maintain and develop manufacturing process intellectual property portfolio.
Provide technical support to operations to facilitate quoting.

Ability to plan and execute projects with cross-functional teams.
Ability to provide Design For Manufacturability, Design For Cost, and Design For Inspection feedback on customer product specifications to customer development, manufacturing and quality engineers and supply chain representatives.
Ability to read product specifications and engineering drawings including GD&T.
Ability to learn and utilize engineering software such as SolidWorks.
Ability to learn and utilize business software such as Epicor.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The subjects listed below are representative of the knowledge preferred or required.
Medical device manufacturing in FDA and/or ISO 13485 environment
Quality Systems and Design Controls per FDA 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485
Engineering drawings and GD&T
Powdered metal manufacturing (sintering and/or metal injection molding)
Metal machining via CNC mill, lathe, millturn, wire EDM, ram EDM
Additive manufacturing (3D printing)
Medical and implantable grades of stainless steel, titanium, cobalt chrome, and zirconium
Project management per PMBOK® from PMI®
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree in a related engineering field
3-5 years work experience in an engineering role
5-10 years work experience for Lead or Senior level
