Job Description
Responsible for reviewing in process and finished product quality
Manages the timely release of product in SAP based on quality data
Ensuring compliance to ISO 9001 by actively implementing and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives throughout the Quality Management System (QMS) e.g. RCCA, Internal audits, etc.
Deploys the QMS to ensure the plant is always audit ready
Interfaces with directors, managers and operators in reference to quality issues
Develops and communicates information on Quality issues and improvement opportunities for Operations Departments and Business Quality Leaders. Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis
Required Skills
A minimum of three years of quality management systems experience - preferably in a chemical plant environment.
Results oriented self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and can affect change.
Able to act decisively using fact-based approaches in problem solving, able to bring concepts to implementation, and excellent production mentality.
Working knowledge of SAP, ISO 9001, SPC/SQC, cGMP and Six Sigma is preferred.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office software packages including Word, Excel and Access.
Required Experience
BS Chemical Engineer/Chemistry Degree preferred and a minimum of three to five years related experience. Additional direct experience considered in lieu of education.
