TALENTED PROCESS ENGINEER NEEDED FOR ELKAY’S DRINKING FOUNTAIN SOLUTIONS OPERATIONS!
Reporting directly to the Manager of Plant Process Engineering, the talented Process Engineer we hire will participate in and lead the implementation and improvement of various product processes in our flagship drinking fountain solutions operations located in Savanna and Lanark, Illinois. Among the key responsibilities for the Process Engineer are the following:
Improve the safety of our team members with proper process designs.
Research and implement automation/robotic applications to improve safety, quality, capacity and efficiency.
Enhance the quality of products produced as well as processes used through effective team facilitation and leadership. Lead large and small team initiatives.
Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions to address customer related issues and/or problems.
Continue development of the quality control plan, initiate internal process audits and institute error-proofing techniques throughout our processes.
Provide statistical metrics for the manufacturing facility to track quality trends and improvements, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization using manufacturing 4.0 connectivity.
Review and approve tooling requirements, and will work with key suppliers to resolve open tooling and equipment issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field required
3+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Project management experience essential along with a track record of leading projects successfully from inception through completion.
Automation/Robotic experience required
LEAN manufacturing experience required
Green belt or other six sigma certification a strong plus.
Manufacturing 4.0 experience a strong plus.
Strong influence leadership skills essential
Experience with Microsoft Office products essential
3D layout experience preferred
Must possess a “factory floor” presence and a proven ability to train, mentor and problem-solve with front line employees
Excellent organizational, prioritization, presentation and analytical skills also essential
