This position will lead Low Observable Materials and Process research for major Lockheed Martin Programs. The successful engineer will demonstrate significant technical expertise in a lab environment, the ability to document research and processes, and also the ability to explain results to a diverse set of stakeholders. The successful engineer must be able to coordinate work across a variety of site and be able to manage all aspects of major materials development efforts.
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or Engineering or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience OR a Master's degree in Materials Science or Materials Engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Project management experience. Materials analysis skills. Experience leading teams of engineers. Proficiency with a wide range of materials. Experience or demonstrated capability documenting research and writing process specifications. Knowledge of advanced materials fabrication methods such as additive manufacturing and 3D printing.
