Commercial construction company looking for a Carpenter with Field Engineer/ Total Station experience - (Trimble RTS773 Robotic TS w/ active prism andTrimble pad / Ability to load and create points / Journeymen Carpenter levelskills. Candidate must be organized and taskoriented, able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, adaptreadily to changing field priorities, energetic and self-motivated with goodoral and written communication skills / computer and plan reading skills are amust. Experience with building layout from foundation up, back checking of bolttemplates, ability to understand civil elevations.

Job description:

Provide the ability to double check sub-contractors work prior to final installation, ie. concrete placement and perform Quality Control to help mitigate errors and sub-standard construction and lessen mistakes. You will need the ability to set control and elevations for coordination and other support of the onsite Superintendents / PE / Project Managers and QC Manager. The TS will be utilized mostly for QC purposes, design field conflicts, dimension and elevation confirmation, overall project coordination and conflict resolutions in the field. The TS will also be used to ensure that construction conflicts are resolved, which help assist in planning and execution of the contracted scopes of work. The job includes preparation and input of points, gathering of field data, filing of compiled data, coordination with onsite survey crew, request for cad files, csv files, needed from Surveyors,Architects, Engineers and Subcontractors. Assist in the review and pre-construction process if deemed necessary

Job Requirements/Skills Required:
-Minimum of High School diploma, Journeymen carpenter skill level; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.

-Ability toread and interpret blueprints/drawings / operate a computer, cad skills are aplus / ability to Input on Trimble Pad.

- Contributeto subcontractor and OAC meetings / Input if needed to resolve issues in the fieldwith plans and construction conflicts.

- UtilizeBlue Beam to create RFI’s to address issues noted during Total Stationobservations.
-Ability to gather / capture data / set up control with the Total Station.
-Double check subcontractors installation / ability to relay findings to theteam once survey is completed.
-Analyze alternative solutions and construction methods to increase efficiency.

-Work withSuperintendents and PM’s so that Contractors / Architects and Engineers canfind ways to resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information fromfield data collection if needed.

-Update andmaintain Record Documents / Store files for future coordination.

-Smallamount of travel may be required.

-Experience in coordinating and facilitating and reportingto the site Superintendent.

Technical Skills:
Microsoft Office / Trimble Field Link, Outlook, (Procore, Blue Beam skillsare a plus).

CompensationSchedule:

This position is hourly, plus benefits (PTO, healthinsurance, 401k).
