Position is responsible for the development and implementation of lean manufacturing projects and process
improvements to drive cost savings. Works with team in coordinating improvements to production processes,
methods and controls. Assists Plant Manager with capital expenditure requests, installation and upgrades to
equipment, and training team members on new equipment and processes. Position reports to the Plant
Manager of Vinyl Corp.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost savings using knowledge of the
manufacturing process, machinery, tooling, quality control standards, raw materials and product
Evaluates and prioritizes process improvement and cost savings projects using analytical tools and
recommends top projects to management team.
Works with Plant Manager to plan and execute process improvements and cost savings projects,
implement change, and establish new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
Establishes training programs for plant personnel to execute new processes and works with Plant
Manager to assign accountability for maintaining process improvements and cost savings.
Develops measurement systems to track actual cost savings vs. projected/budgeted cost savings.
Participate in CDBS Lean Light program.
Assist QC with quality accuracy and maintain extrusion die inventories and components.
Works with Plant Manager and Maintenance in coordinating contract work of outside vendors for
maintenance of facility or equipment.
Assist Plant Manager with Capital Expenditures and maintain Capitol Project Tracking Log.
Lead or participate on committees/teams as directed by Plant Manager.
Update facility layout file after plant modifications and when new equipment is installed or removed.
Update facility permits and compliance codes according to city and state regulations.

EDUCATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
Manufacturing facility with limited climate control
Occasionally exposed to fumes
Personal protective equipment required at all times-hard hat, work gloves, hearing protection and
steel toed shoes/boots when working in the plant
Controlled noise environment
Some occasional travel required to supplier locations and training classes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
