Provides professional nursing care of associates through detailed preparation of injury reports, emergency response and treatment, patient education and medical case management. Acts as a liaison for associates to outside medical services. Supports management in rehabilitation and return to work procedures and provides direction on ways to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses. Will also perform data entry, prepare reports as requested and strive to maintain departmental budget plans.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience or an associate degree in Nursing and a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience. Must also have a current, unrestricted license in the state of Michigan to practice as a Registered Nurse. Requires effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively both autonomously and in a team environment. Must be self-motivated and self-directed with strong prioritization, triage and problems solving skills. Prefer a candidate with Medical First Responder license, experience in emergency nursing and/or experience in an Occupational Health setting along with Medical Case Management experience. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
