X-Ray Field Service Engineer, Midwest Region

**This position is home office based, but the successful candidate must reside in Michigan or Northern Illinois with the ability to travel frequently to customer sites throughout this region. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.**

Job Overview:
The Swissray Customer Care Field Service Engineer provides superior customer care, including service, repair and maintenance on Swissray Digital Radiography equipment and accessories at customer sites. The person in this role should perform required service effectively and efficiently while maintaining positive relationships with customers and associates.

This is a remote position that requires frequent travel to customer sites throughout the Midwest (primarily in Michigan & Northern Illinois) and the ability to work with minimal oversight. The successful candidate may live anywhere in this region that offers convenient access to customer sites.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform emergency service, preventative maintenance, change orders and installations
  • Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers
  • Perform necessary administrative duties accurately, according to company guidelines and policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • 5+ years of field service experience
  • Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical imaging equipment
  • Strong electronics and computer background
  • Previous experience with X-Ray
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills (in person, email and phone)
  • Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
  • Must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting
  • Must be willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate
  • Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after the probationary period (including evenings, weekends and holidays)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Technical Associate Degree or higher
