Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Resident Engineer to support all technical facets of our Automotive Tier 1 Wiring Team.
Support all customer technical requirements.
Communicate clearly and effectively to both internal and external contacts.
Direct contact with OEM and Tier customers to understand their technical cabling needs and communicate them to engineering via the Molex Cable Request Portal
Data management into the Molex Cable Request Portal including drawing reviews and submissions, cable pinout requirements, raw cable identification, sample ordering and part number loading
Collaborate with the OEM teams to help maintain and track program sourcing, forecasting, ramp timing and launch requirements and end of life.
Support custom configuration requests (CVPs) on connector interfaces. Interface directly with the customer on part number loading, drawing requests and sample orders for all standard products.
Facilitate and support quality issue notification/resolution with Molex team members.
Support general customer information requests such as drawings, specifications, quality documentation and sample parts.
Support account management initiatives, strategy and messaging internally and to the customer.
3+ years relevant engineering (mechanical or electrical) experience at an OEM or Tier 1 automotive supplier.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and pivot table capabilities
Bachelor’s degree, or advanced, in Engineering (preferably BSEE or BSME)
Prior experience with Tier 1 wiring suppliers
Understanding of vehicle connection systems and architecture

Solid understanding of various connectors, cable assemblies and modules.
