As an R&D Lab Sr Technician with PepsiCo, you will support daily product development activities and manage lab resources to enable expansion and maintenance of diverse beverage and food portfolio. Additionally, you will ensure all instrumentation used in the lab analysis of product are routinely maintained and calibrated. You will support ongoing laboratory sanitation of equipment and utensils as well manage scheduling to support product development scientists with product development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support scientists in testing new ingredients and developing model beverage formulation
  • Provide product formulation support by accurately preparing laboratory beverages samples for experimentation by developing a detailed testing plan with timeline
  • Maintain and document lab supply inventory
  • Conduct shelf-life storage and testing, submit samples for analytical and sensory evaluation, perform data analysis under the direction of a Sr Scientist
  • Utilize analytical measuring equipment and instrumentation such as Particle Size Analyzer, Viscometers, Density, Specific Gravity, Colorimetry, Water Activity, and Titration.
  • Support Product Developers in conducting production runs, managing ingredient orders, handling, ensuring product meets specifications.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • B.S. in Chemistry. B.S. in Food Science, Biology, or other physical sciences
  • 0 - 3 years prior experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Technical and specialized individual contributor
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments/competing priorities with critical thinking
  • Works effectively as a member of cross functional teams.
  • Must demonstrate relentless commitment to working safely and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be well organized, capture work details, and highlight any unexpected challenges
  • Operational skill Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
