MITRE seeks a system security engineer to provide direct engineering support to our sponsors projects and MITRE. The successful candidate will have strong systems engineering background and demonstrated expertise in applying cybersecurity principles, including many of the following: Cyber Resiliency, Critical Program Information/Critical Component (CPI/CC) Identification, Anti-Tamper (AT), Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), and Risk Management Framework (RMF). This position requires a familiarity with the DOD acquisition process, and excellent team and communications (written and verbal) skills.
Bring MITRE Systems Security Engineering and Cyber resources to bear for our customers, by applying the principles of systems security engineering, and cyber resilience to AF programs.
Support Critical Program Information (CPI) and Critical Component identification through system and architecture examination, functional decompositions, data flows, interfaces and physical implementations.
Promote and apply Cyber Resilience techniques to programs to increase cyber resilience posture.
Work as part of a team that collaborates and shares Lessons learned.
Apply strong interpersonal skills to work across organizational interests to execute engineering efforts and produce secure systems for our customer.
BS/MS in an engineering discipline with a broad Systems Engineering background with a focus on Cybersecurity.
Ability to apply system engineering principles to solve cybersecurity problems.
Knowledge of Systems Engineering and system security engineering in several of the areas of: Cyber Resilience, CPI Identification, Anti-Tamper technologies, Supply Chain Risk Management, and Risk Management Framework.
Familiarity with the DOD acquisition process.
Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written.
