DESCRIPTION

RELCO is looking for a highly motivated Robot/CNC Programmer to join our production team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The position includes providing technical assistance to our shop. Write, edit, and troubleshoot programs for assigned robotic welding machinery. Ensure weldments meet or exceed set standards. Write robotic weld programs that meet the quality specifications. Inspect, measure and test to ensure conformance to specifications.

RENUMERATION

Base pay: $45,000-$60,000/yr.

Candidate should be able to demonstrate success by:

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures, maintenance manuals and training curriculum materials
  • Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts
  • Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
  • Configuration manage updates and revisions to robotic manuals

Qualifications

-Must be able to use software to provide set up sheets and programs for CNC Lathes and Mills

-Required to interact with production to test and prove out programs, must have experience with adjusting programs at the machine and conversational programming

-Must have hands on experience setting up and running CNC machines & robotic welders

-Must be able to read and understand Engineering prints

-Must have the ability to inspect parts using proper inspection tools and understand statistical process control

-Required to monitor efficiency, quality, and participate in continuous improvement activities

-Must be able to work with and provide training to production team and back up programmers

-Laser, Press Brake, and Robotic Weld programming a plus

-Must be able to read, write and communicate proficiently in English

-Excellent time management and organization skills

-Self-motivated and Team oriented

Education

-1-3 years Experience as a CNC programmer/machinist

-High School Diploma required

-Associated degree in CNC programming, machining, or related filed preferred

-Bachelor’s degree a Plus
