The Test Engineer is responsible for verification and validation (V&V) of cutting-edge consumer robotic products that will revolutionize how people maintain and beautify their outdoor spaces. You will develop test plans, build fixtures, and execute testing that ensures our products meet strict customer expectations before going to production.
We have state-of-the-art lab facilities and equipment, but our products work outdoors, so you should enjoy spending some time with them outside of the office.

Set up and run test programs to evaluate performance and reliability of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions and report results – including embedded microelectronics, lithium battery power systems, DC motor drives, and various sensor technologies
Seek to correlate lab testing with real world results for the purposes of repeatable and accelerated product validation
Develop reporting tools and statistical analysis techniques to communicate testing results to inter-departmental stakeholders
Passionate about using analytical reasoning and solution-focused problem solving - We don’t want you just identifying problems, but also engaging with R&D to help develop solutions to solve them.
Effective oral and written communication skills. You will not be sentenced to perpetual report writing, but you must be able to document your work and communicate it efficiently to others.
Detail oriented, highly organized, a self-starter, enjoy learning, and flexible - We work quickly and iterate fast. You should be able to determine the best ways of achieving 80% of the results from 20% of the effort.
Proficient troubleshooting of electromechanical systems and mechanisms down to the component level using common lab equipment: oscilloscopes, voltmeters, current probes
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics. Familiarity with microcontrollers
Experience with software tools such as LabVIEW, Visual Basic, Python, MATLAB, etc…
Three to five years of robotics, mechatronics, or similar multi-disciplinary experience
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline from a four-year college or university
