SFDPW Office Engineer

AMC Consulting Engineers, Inc.(AMC) provides engineering analysis, design, construction management, andconstruction inspection services for transportation infrastructure projects.AMC has earned a reputation for its high level of commitment and performancedue to its ability to support its clients with well-qualified and experiencedengineers and inspectors in delivering challenging infrastructure projects.

We have immediate need of an Office Engineer withthe following qualifications to provide Construction Management Services insupporting City of San Francisco Public Works Infrastructure Section to overseeits construction projects being performed in the public right of way. Projects include traffic signal work, asphaltconcrete paving, Portland cement concrete construction, sewer pipeinstallation, streetscape and green infrastructure improvements and curb rampconstruction.

Experience:

  • Experience in administration of Public Works contracts
  • Familiar with all aspects of required office construction engineering activities
  • Experience with construction contract administration, document controls, project coordination, record keeping, tracking submittals and RFIs
  • Experience with preparing meeting agendas, materials, and minutes for design and construction projects.
  • Experience with developing change order documents, including change orders, finding of facts, and cost estimates
  • Proficient in computers, computer applications, MS Office, text messaging and emails

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or Planning
  • Engineer-in-Training Certificate required
  • 2+ years of relevant construction experience on public works projects
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated and able to provide work deliverables accurately in a timely manner
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
