Substitute Caretaker and Substitute Cleaner
We are currently accepting applications for the Substitute Caretaker and Substitute Cleaner Roster. Positions on Substitute Caretaker and Substitute Cleaner roster are used to replace permanent staff that are on vacation, sick leave or professional development.
Substitute Caretaker and Substitute Cleaner positions are:
full-time (40 hours/week)
various evening shifts (8 hours shifts starting anytime between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm)
6-month terms with the possibility of renewal
are dispatched daily and located at various schools and buildings throughout Winnipeg School Division.
Minimum experience in the field of building cleaning maintenance along with knowledge of and exposure to commercial cleaning products or equipment preferred. Will also consider those who have completed 5th Class Power Engineer's course but need to complete Provincial Exam and/or boiler hours.
For Caretaker positions, ONLY Valid Fifth (5th) Class Power Engineer's Certificate or higher (document to be attached).
Ability to read, write and speak English in order to identify and interpret oral and written documentation relating to the job requirements, methods, procedures and policies of Winnipeg School Division and communicate effectively with the supervisors, school staff, students and visiting public.
