We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer for our Massachusetts office with possible relocation to our Manhattan office. Successful candidates will have 5 or more years of energy engineering experience, including knowledge of energy systems, energy efficiency, renewable energy, new building construction, industrial manufacturing operations, and sustainable practices for commercial and industrial facilities. Experience in project management, measurement and verification (M&V) of energy-related projects, and strong technical knowledge is highly desirable.
ERS is looking for Senior Engineers with significant experience in the following areas:
Energy efficiency and building use modeling and simulation
Comprehensive energy assessments and analyses
Conducting and/or directing site surveys
Preparing comprehensive reports detailing analytical findings
HVAC system assessment and analytical modeling
M&V and impact evaluation
Industrial process efficiency and productivity
Building commissioning/retrocommissioning services
High-performance and green buildings/LEED certification
Demand management and demand response
Compressed air supply and demand-side enhancements
State-of-the-art lighting design M&V
Renewable energy technologies (solar photovoltaics, wind, distributed generation, etc.)
Architectural engineering, building science, and sustainable practices
Efficiency program design and implementation
Ideal candidates will also have experience in these areas:
Familiarity with energy modeling inputs and workflows including HVAC system modeling.
Fundamental knowledge of building system operation
One or more years of experience using Energy Plus, eQUEST, and/or Trane Trace
Experience with green building rating systems (LEED, Green Globe) and the utility incentive application process is a plus
Candidates must have excellent communication, writing, and computer skills and be able to work closely with customers, vendors, and efficiency program administrators. Business development, construction administration, design, and/or project management skills are a plus. A Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field is required.
