Period of Performance: Two months
Statement of Work:
The work to be performed under this contract consists of augmenting the current Safety staff during support of Operations and Maintenance. Individuals will need to provide Safety coverage to the SACOM contract at SSC for an estimated period of 2 months. A typical work shift will be Monday through Friday from 0600-1430. Candidates may be required to work additional hours or provide coverage to off shift work including weekends and will be responsible for but not limited to the below activities.
Typical work functions include but are not limited to: Atmospheric Sampling – verifying nonhazardous conditions prior to work around flammables. Hot Work Permit writing – Issue permits to employee’s to perform spark producing operations. Support Confined Space Operations (may require entry). Attend meetings and provide Safety input. Review paperwork (job plans) and provide approval or notify of required changes. Perform worksite inspections of active or inactive jobs. Will work with employees to ensure operations progress smoothly. Identify and correct safety deficiencies in both facilities and work functions. Provide guidance to employees and assist in determining work place hazards and appropriate mitigations. Perform program/procedure audits. Stop work (and correct behavior) if conditions/actions are determined to be hazardous. Investigate mishaps and or safety concerns. Provide corrective actions and implement fixes.
