Constellium’s Bowling Green’s facility supplies advanced 5xxx and 6xxx alloys and provides aluminum coils and sheets for automotive applications such as closures inners, outers and body-in-white.

The Engineering Leader is responsible for all engineering activities in the plant. Overall responsibility for managing the yearly capital project plan, capital budget, coordination & management of maintenance projects.

Job Duties:
Manages the spending and conformance to the plan capital budget spending
Updates and maintains the plant technical engineering standards for all disciplines

Coordinates technical issues to resolution via guidance to supporting team members

Facilitates general plant engineering assignments and leads the execution follow up on same

Facilitates large and small project scope development and interfacing with outside engineering support and vendors

Acts as a filter to maintain the quality of supporting documentation consistent with corporate standards and follows up on coordination with the area engineers to facilitate spending forecast updates and process protocols

Improve safety and security of operations, product quality, productivity, recovery, equipment reliability, etc

Provide leadership and guidance on engineering projects

Develops training plan for the team

Manages the spending and conformance to the plan capital budget spending

Reports on current, forecast and future planned activities

Facilitates general plant engineering assignments and leads the execution follow up on same

Facilitates large project scope development and interfacing with outside engineering support and vendors

Coordinates construction and engineering activities within the constraints of the operating plant needs on routine interval outages

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering is required

A minimum of 5 years hands-on management experience supporting a 24/7 aluminum (preferred) or Steel Rolling or Processing Line operation is required

Proven track record managing multiple capital projects is a must

Plant engineering experience and knowledge of operating departments

Superior knowledge of mechanical, electrical and civil engineering disciplines

Be able to work collaboratively and effectively with others as part of a team

Be willing to learn, grow, and improve team job skills

Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and active listening skills

Must possess complex problem solving and critical thinking skills

Must have flexible work schedule
