Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Windows Build Engineer at our South Burlington VT office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage multiple OS images (12 to 14) (i.e., Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, and Server 2019) and sub-versions including some custom built for specific customers and user groups (i.e., 1709, 1803, and 1809).Â Â
Support Image Lab and understand lengthy application and hardware compatibility testing, vulnerability assessment testing, rigorous configuration management (release management), and approval process for Global Policy Objects (GPO) review, as well as Active Directly rule compatibility.
Continually improve the over-the-network SCCM deployment method focusing on improving security and reducing inefficiencies.
Application and hardware compatibility testing.
Infrastructure and new feature requirements testing.
Deployment method requirements.
Develop base image for all OS types.
Operating system design.
Hardware model integration.
Create and maintain custom task sequences and other custom code for front-end image management.
Validate images meet the customersâ€™ supplied requirements and internal quality guidelines.
Provide desktop management automation through scripting to deliver consistent and predictable services.
Ensure that the images load completely and without errors in all supported scenarios (e.g. Vendor staging, DMA, bare metal re-image, USB Flash Drive, USB Drive, Network, etc.).
Work in close relation with the Government Release Manager and Device Management counterparts.
Maintain documentation of activities and maintain checklists for the various tasks in respective area of responsibility. This includes:
Testing images in the client environment
Promoting images to production
Component Creation and general management of images
Technical road maps
Open trouble tickets and follow up on incidents with the hardware vendors in the event of a problem relating to a supported hardware platform.
Keep abreast of changes occurring in the USCIS environment that could have an impact on deliverables. This includes, but is not limited to:
OS Feature Releases
OS Quality Updates
Microsoft Insider Preview Releases
Hardware infrastructure changes
Push software updates
Upgrades to backend components
Scheduled maintenance in the environment
Ensure that the drivers and UEFI/BIOS levels and configurations are certified.
Conduct sanity testing of images before they released for QA testing.
Utilize the clean source build methodology.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field preferred. 2-5 years of experience.
Participating in new solution development.
Experience working in public and private clouds.
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills
Experience with major cloud providers preferred.
Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.
Proven experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts.

Security Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Public Trust and complete DHS Security Clearance
Ability to obtain DHS EOD suitability
Current DHS EOD highly preferred
Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office.
The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300-$96,800. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
