Summary: The Manager Organizational Development Manager is responsible for the management, development and execution of talent and succession, performance, learning and development, and organizational effectiveness programs aimed at advancing Compass Minerals mission and elevating business results. This position will ensure the advancement of a high performance culture, and actively plan for, address, and forecast future talent and culture needs aligned with the organizations strategic direction. This position will lead employee experience and inclusion initiatives to increase workforce productivity and organization growth. This is a hands-on manager role requiring the incumbent to be a content and program developer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Design, develop and implement innovative talent programs to improve depth, quality and engagement of talent
Mange the talent management and succession planning programs and processes that include tracking the impact of development initiatives
Assist business leaders and HR Business Partners in building talent capabilities, including assessing short and long-term talent needs, and identifying critical talent gaps
Manage the annual performance management cycle to include the development of results-driven performance management tools and processes that integrate with the organization’s values and core competencies
Develop and implement leadership development programs for all levels in the organization and for all phases of the employee life cycle
Lead the company’s employee engagement and retention initiatives to increase organizational, programmatic and individual performance
Develop a portfolio of talent metrics and conduct ongoing analysis to lead change and drive continuous improvement in both talent programs and supporting processes, policies, and systems
Influence organizational decision-making with the use of relevant, value-added metrics


Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
7– 10 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of human capital management experience in a role advancing a corporate culture and successfully developing and leading change management initiatives
Demonstrated knowledge of talent management, organizational development, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, performance management, succession planning, and human capital management (HCM) systems
Strong verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with partners at all levels
PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
